My professional accomplishments include two masters degrees. The first is from the University of Glasgow in Scotland where I achieved an M.Phil. in Creative Writing. I used this degree to teach writing and English as a Second language for almost ten years. Most of my teaching experience was teaching basic and college writing to college freshmen. Most of these students were from marginalized backgrounds, and many were learning how to navigate academic life successfully.

My second masters is a MA in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. After I achieved this, I also achieved a certificate in Drug and Alcohol Counseling from Delaware Technical and Community College. Using my skills learned in these two programs, I worked on first crisis lines, and I now work as a Behavioral Health Coach.

Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Psychology at Fielding Graduate University. The program is an applied one, and the name of the program will officially change to Applied Psychological Sciences next year.

Due to my dedication to learning, I am a member of the Psi Chi International Honor Society and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

My career goal is to become a researcher. My passion is in crisis management and aiding others to become their best selves. It is my belief that I can best do this through research. Good research has the ability to aid many people as it furthers our understanding of human psychology. This can lead to a vast amount of applications in a care setting after enough is known about a topic.

I sometimes give presentations on mental health in fictional media with a partner. Our first presentation was at the August 2022 Star Trek convention in Las Vegas.
